  • Abstract
The addition of a Gaussian extension to the Lagrangian model developed in AGricultural DISPersion (AGDISP) enables the aerial application model to extend its prediction distance to 20 km downwind, a distance well beyond its validation distance of 800 m, with an approach whose restrictions and approximations are well understood and documented. This paper summarises the Gaussian model implemented here, and presents predictions of both models for the same aerial spray conditions. Transition between the two models, and possible far-field effects, are discussed, as well as potential uses of the extended aerial application model with respect to long-range risk assessment and large-scale aerial spray operations.
