Two novel manganese coordination polymers containing both double-stranded chain and single chain or double-stranded chain

Reaction of bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethane (bte), MnSO4 · H2O with KNCS or NaN(CN)2 yields two novel polymers [Mn(gauche-bte)2(NCS)2]n · [Mn(anti-bte)(H2O)2(NCS)2]n (1) which contains both double-stranded chain and single chain and both the gauche and anti conformations bte, and forms three-dimensional hydrogen bond network, and {Mn(gauche-bte)2[N(CN)2]2}n (2) which contains double-stranded chain.
