Abstract
A novel organic–inorganic hybrid manganese vanadate, [C3N2H12][Mn(V4O12)(H2O)2] (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. The structure of the title compound is layered and can be described as manganese vanadium oxide layers with diprotonated 1,3-propanediammonium with water molecules occupying the interlayer space. The presence of image helical double chains in compound 1 is noteworthy.
