Abstract
A new oxofree rhenium(V) complex salt, [Re(L3)2](ReO4)(H2L3 = N-(2-aminobenzylidene)benzene-1,2-diamine), has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray structure determination, IR and NMR spectroscopy. The chelates L3 are coordinated as dianionic tridentate N,N,N-donor diamidoimines. The rhenium(V) ion is centered in a distorted trigonal prism.
