Abstract
A new fluorescent Zn2+ chemosensor, 8-(7′-Hydroxy-4′-methylcoumarin-8′-yl-) methyleneiminoquinoline (L) was designed and synthesized. This complex could act as highly sensitive and selective fluorescent probe for Zn2+ in THF (tetrahydrofuran). However, other metal ions gave little fluorescence change.
