An amido lithium tetra-zinc oxo complex: Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of (μ4-oxo)-pentakis(μ2-diethylamido)-bis(N(ethyl)CHCH2)-lithium-tetrazinc

The synthesis of an unusual cyclometallated amido lithium-tetra-zinc complex, (μ4-oxo)-pentakis(μ2-diethylamido)-bis(N(ethyl)CHCH2)-lithium-tetrazinc, was achieved in reasonable yield by the reaction of zinc chloride and lithium diethylamide. The new complex was characterised and an X-ray crystal structure was reported.
