Plane strain elastic–plastic bending of a strain-hardening curved beam

Elastic–plastic analysis of plane strain pure bending of a strain-hardening curved beam has been presented. Only a linear hardening case has been analyzed as the nonlinear equations for a general hardening case could not be solved analytically. A numerical scheme for the computation of stresses and displacements in different stages of deformation has been given and limited FEM verifications have been presented.
