In-process dressing of fine diamond wheels for tool grinding

In tool grinding operations, especially ceramic cutting tool materials, two aims are important: high production efficiency and high-precision cutting edges with minimum surface and subsurface damage. Using conventional grinding conditions, these two aims cannot be combined without essential restrictions. In-process dressing enables efficient use of fine-grained grinding wheels to obtain superior cutting edge quality.
