  • Abstract
The ozone sensing activities of various TiO2–SnO2 materials were studied. Pt-doping showed promise as a promoter of the TiO2–SnO2 response, and the doped films presented the highest sensor sensitivity. The sensing materials were characterized by SEM and XRD spectroscopy. The slow down of the electrons and holes recombination on the surface of the sensing material due to the charge transfer of the mixing band is discussed. Response and recovery times of the sensing material under a 2.5 ppm ozone concentration were as short as 160 and 50 s, respectively. Response of the sensor was 1082–2.5 ppm ozone. The sensor response was measured to 0.5–2.5 ppm ozone in this study.
