Abstract
In this article, we report on a high-performance graphene carbon dioxide (CO2) gas sensor fabricated by mechanical cleavage. Unlike other solid-state gas sensors, the graphene sensor can be operated under ambient conditions and at room temperature. Changes in the device conductance are measured for various concentrations of CO2 gas adsorbed on the surface of graphene. The conductance of the graphene gas sensor increases linearly when the concentration of CO2 gas is increased from 10 to 100 ppm. The advantages of this sensor are high sensitivity, fast response time, short recovery time, and low power consumption.
