The superconvergence of a Galerkin collocation method for first kind boundary integral equations on smooth curves

Here we present a Galerkin collocation method for the solution of first kind boundary integral equations with logarithmic kernel as principal part. By using piecewise constant trial functions with uniform meshes, we discover the phenomenon of superconvergence at midpoints for the numerical solution. We shall prove this result in this paper.
