Global attractors for semigroup actions

In this paper the notions of global attractor and global uniform attractor are extended to the setting of general semigroup actions. We study the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the global attractor for semigroups acting on noncompact metric spaces. We present conditions for the equivalence between the global attractor and global uniform attractor.
