Scott spaces and sober spaces

The categories of sober spaces and generalized (i.e., not necessarily T0) Scott spaces are adjoint. We define upper- and lower-sober spaces; lower-sober spaces are a reflective subcategory of TOP that is intermediate to that of sober spaces. We establish why the sobrifications of Alexandrov spaces and of certain Scott spaces described by Mislove (1981) are Scott.
