Some properties of algebra BHn(l, m)

The algebra BHn(l, m) is defined by generators satisfying the relations of the braid group algebra and the Hecke algebra of projectors plus additional relations mixing them up. Originally, it appeared as the algebra closed by the Yang-Baxter operators of a class of vertex models in statistical mechanics. In this paper we investigate some of the algebraic and geometric properties of this algebra.
