Abstract
A slightly generalized classical Maxwell equation in a specific medium modelling the relativistic atom is considered. The group-theoretical properties of this equation, its symmetries and its unitary relationship with the Dirac equation are investigated. Mathematical grounds for the description of fermionic states in terms of bosonic system are presented briefly. It is shown that slightly generalized classical Maxwell electrodynamics can describe the inneratomic phenomena with the same success as relativistic quantum mechanics can do.
