Abstract
This research is entitled “Persuasive Tactics in Indonesian Children Television Advertising”. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research uses data collected from the advertisements, which exist on Doraemon Movie. The results show that five persuasive tactics used in this program. They are emphasis, analogy, personification, definition, and argument. These tactics are used advertisers to persuade their targets. Emphasis is the mostly used tactic in this movie because the advertisers hope that children as their consumers are interested and finally decided to buy their products. It is in line with Mulhollandʹs theory about emphasis as a persuasive tactic.
