Abstract
A BMAP/G/1 retrial queueing system is considered. A sufficient condition for existence of a steady-state distribution is obtained. A matrix differential equation for the vector generating function of the stationary queue distribution is derived. An approximate algorithm for calculating the stationary state probabilities is proposed.
