The modified chain method for a class of delay differential equations arising in neural networks

For a class of delay differential equations arising in the theory of neural networks, it is shown that, for a dense subset of initial data, the solutions can be approximated by the solutions of an associated system of ordinary differential equations. The approximation is always uniform on finite intervals. Under some restrictions on the parameters, for the bounded solutions the approximation is uniform on the whole infinite interval.
