Abstract
New fluoroalkylated end-capped oligomers containing 5-chloro-8-quinolyl segments were prepared by using fluoroalkanoyl peroxides. These fluorinated oligomer interacted with 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid (ANS) to decrease drastically its fluorescence intensity, although the corresponding nonfluorinated oligomers did not interact with ANS. Furthermore, these fluorinated oligomers were applicable to the selective fluorometric determination of Zn(II).
