  • Abstract
    A high-yield preparation of SF5CF2CF2C6H5 has been achieved via a two-step process: α,β,β-trifluorostyrene reacts with SF5Br to give the intermediate product SF5CF2CFBrC6H5 (1) which, when treated with AgBF4 in methylene chloride, produces SF5CF2CF2C6H5 (2) in high yield.
