6,6′-Bisperfluoroalkylated BINOLs promoted asymmetric allylation of aldehydes

6,6′-Bis(1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-perfluorooctyl)-1, 1′-bi-2-naphthol (Rf6-BINOL) and 6,6′-bis(1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-perfluorodecyl)-1,1′-bi-2-naphthol (Rf8-BINOL) were used in allylation of aldehydes in fluorous biphase system. Good enantioselectivity was obtained and the ligands could be recovered by continuos liquid–liquid extraction.
