Abstract
A series of O- and S-nucleophiles reacted with 2,2-difluorovinyl tosylate 1 regiospecifically with the nucleophiles attacking at the terminal CF2 carbon at room temperature, affording α,α-difluoroethyl ethers or thioethers in moderate to good yields.
