Balanced compatible dynamic analyses

This paper presents two algorithms for the design of structures alternative to conventional dynamic analyses. Their main advantage is that the final results, action-effects in individual structural elements and joint displacements, are balanced and compatible, contrary to what happens with current methods. An additional advantage comes from the proposed simulation of the accidental causes of global torsion under a seismic action, devised in order to allow a single analysis to provide all the data necessary for design.
