  • Abstract
    In situ treatment (−78°C) of N-methoxymethyl–N-methylformamide and chlorotrimethylsilane with LDA affords synthetically useful yields of the carbamoylsilane. The latter undergoes silyl group exchange at 145°C in the presence of a chlorosilane and CsF.
