Abstract
The enthalpy of formation of hydrides and hydrogen concentration in Zr-based C14 AB2 Laves phase alloys have been calculated using a semi-empirical model taking into account of the average electronegativity, atomic size factor, electron concentration factor and charge-radii ratio of the alloys. The calculated values of partial molar enthalpy of dissolved hydrogen and hydrogen concentration have been compared with those of the experimental values and discussed.
