Abstract
In 3-amino imidazopyridines, complete C(5) regiospecificity yielded corresponding TIBO-like derivatives (±)-3a, 6a and (±)-8a–c. The structures of these polycyclic compounds containing the azaindole moiety were determined by 1D and 2D NMR, and by X-ray crystallography.
