The modified Poisson–Boltzmann electric double layer capacitance for point ions at low temperatures

The electric double layer capacitance due to the modified Poisson–Boltzmann theory is evaluated for point ions at low temperatures. An anomalous capacitance behaviour is found for 1:1 and 2:2 electrolytes for no imaging and for an insulating wall. No anomalous behaviour was found for 1:2 electrolytes.
