Abstract
The determination of model parameters describing damage evolution within the continuum damage approaches by Tvergaard–Needleman and Rousselier is investigated. For this, adressing materials with small initial damage, finite element simulations were carried out on the mesoscale for single voided periodic unit cells. The model parameters are identified by fitting to the damage growth of the unit cell. It is shown that there are curves of pairings of parameters which fit the unit cell results approximately with the same quality.
