Abstract
The kinetics of ordering in fcc alloys during codeposition is investigated by the kinetic mean field method in the pair approximation. The evolutions of the long-range order and short-range order parameters during codeposition are calculated. It is found that the kinetic path involves various stages of relaxation and there is transient ordered state during codeposition. The influence of the two characteristic times related to the adsorption and the atomic migration on the kinetics of the growth is analyzed.
