Clarification on “Thermo-Calc and Dictra simulation of constitutional liquation of gamma prime (γ′) during welding of Ni-base superalloys”

A clarification is made on the nature of phase transformations dealt with in a recent article [F. Tancret, Computational Materials Science 4 (2007) 13-19]. The two modelled phenomena are in fact of a different nature, i.e. the exclusive melting of γ′ on the one hand, and the eutectic-type constitutional liquation of γ′ on the other hand.
