Abstract
The elastic and the total neutron scattering experiments were performed for 10AgI–3Ag2O–2V2O5 and 3Ag2O–2V2O5 glasses at room temperature. Temperature dependence of the elastic scattering profile was also investigated for 10AgI–3Ag2O–2V2O5 glass from 10 to 295 K. The change of the mean-square-displacement averaged through all the constituent ions with temperature and composition was clarified based on the neutron scattering profiles. The overall mean-square-displacement was found to change linearly with temperature. The relation between the mean-square-displacement and the ionic conductivity in AgI-doped glasses was discussed.
