Singularity comparison between 1/f fluctuations with statistical analysis of wavelet maxima

The statistical analysis of wavelet modulus maxima for five 1/f fluctuations from different generation mechanisms is performed for the purpose of comparing their singularity. It is found that the probability distributions of the wavelet maxima for various tested 1/f fluctuations obey the Weibull distribution, but their distribution parameters are considerably different. This result indicates the difference in singularity among these 1/f fluctuations due to different mechanisms or generation variables.
