Abstract
The stationary potentials of platinum, brass, carbon steel 20, and austenitic steel KhISNIOT were measured in pure water and in water with octadecylamine (ODA) at temperatures of up to 160°C. Experimental data showed that introducing ODA reduces the stationary potentials of the metals and the difference between the stationary potential of the platinum electrode and the other metals under study; that is, the corrosion rate of the structural materials under study decreases.
