Abstract
Summary
portance of physical activity to mantain healty psychological functions is widely known. The present study involved 16 elderly patients affected by anxiety-depression syndrome; they were assessed by the geriatric depression scale (GDS) and the state trait anxiety inventory (STAI) Y1 scales. After an exercise training program of 3 months, they were assessed again by the same psychometric tests, demostrating a significant improvement of their affective state.
