  • Abstract
    We test the J-shifting approximation for H + CO recombination by comparing the recombination rate in the fall-off region against one obtained using accurate J- and K-dependent resonance energies. In applying the J-shifting approximation we consider rotation constants given at the HCO minimum and also at the HCO saddle point.
