Excited state dynamics of C60 studied using incoherent light

Excited state dynamics of C60 have been studied using backward degenerate four wave mixing with incoherent light. Estimates of the population relaxation time T1 of the lower excited singlet state S1 and phase relaxation time T2 of the higher excited singlet state Sn are obtained. The vibrational dephasing in the S1 state is ∼5 ps. The results are in good agreement with those obtained using a fs laser. We also present Z-scan data at 600 nm.
