Abstract
The one-particle reduced density matrix of correlated electronic systems is computed by expressing the many-electron wavefunction as a superpositon of generalized coherent states, each representing a single Slater determinant. This representation could be used for developing a density matrix functional theory. The sensitivity of the density matrix to the parameters is demonstrated.
