Abstract
The two-body collision-induced light scattering spectrum of UF6 has never been measured. Lineshape calculations through quantum mechanical methods have been used to predict a reasonable experimental spectrum at T = 295 K. In this calculations a (n, 6) Lennard-Jones intermolecular potential was used. Measured data for other octahedral molecules and mixed octahedral-atom samples were used in the process and for comparison.
