Abstract
We investigate the quantum phase dynamics of an initially one-mode amplitude-squeezed photon field interacting with a two-state molecular system by using the numerically exact approach developed in a previous paper. As shown in previous studies, the collapses and revivals of Rabi oscillation of the molecular population are observed for the amplitude-squeezed field, while significant differences are detected in the amplitude of oscillation and the revival–collapse period between amplitude-squeezed and coherent fields. These features are found to be closely related to the differences in the dynamical behavior of the Pegg–Barnett phase and the quasiprobability (Q function) distributions for these two photon fields.
