Growth rate dispersion of small KDP crystals

This letter deals with the growth rate dispersion of small KDP crystals grown from aqueous solution. It was shown that the distribution of growth rates has two maxima, in contrast to previously studied growth rate dispersions, which were described by distributions with one maximum. The dislocation structure of individual crystals and the varying degrees of strain in the crystal lattice were considered as possible causes of this phenomenon.
