Abstract
TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared in nanoreactor formed by the adsorption layer on silica surface. Solvent replacement experiment provided direct evidence that there was a water-rich adsorption layer and the reaction took place in the layer. TEM, XRD and XPS indicated a uniform TiO2 particles laid over surface of SiO2. The effects of reaction temperature and reactant concentration were investigated and the potential mechanism was discussed.
