Abstract
The aggregation model is developed to take into account the restructuring of newly formed aggregates to form more compact structures. The effect of aggregate restructuring on the aggregate mass distribution is investigated. If the exponent characterizing the mass dependence of the aggregation activity (ω) increases with the fractal dimension of aggregates, restructuring broadens the aggregate mass distribution. The distributions follow then the general dependence on the ω-exponent, valid for non-fractal aggregates. Otherwise, restructuring narrows the aggregate mass distribution, but not along with the general dependence.
