Thin films and self-organization during friction under the current collection conditions

The processes taking place during the friction of current collection materials are studied based on non-equilibrium thermodynamics and self-organizing phenomena approaches. The formation of the thin films on surface during friction is considered as a generation of the dissipative structures. The selection of the wear resistant materials is established basing on the studies of the dissipative structures. The instabilities of friction with current collection are shown.
