Abstract
This experiment assessed the effect of development of efficient embryonic callus from stem (nodes/ internodes/ petiole) and leaf part segments of Toddalia aculeata on MS medium supplemented with Auxins (IBA, IAA, 2,4,-D) and sucrose (3%, w/v). Efficient callus induction was observed from 7-days-old internode segments inoculated in MS+1.0mg/l IAA+1.0mg/l IBA and the highest frequency (28.48%) of embryogenic callus induction was calculated. Explants forming embryogenic callus were scored 6 weeks after culture initiation.
