A local recurrence or distant metastasis occurred in 35% of patients. Local recurrence rate was 10.7%. Cancer specific survival rates were 88%, 81 % and 42% for pT1, pT2-pT3a, and pT3b patients respectively. sion esent results confirm that radical cystectomy is the most effective curative treatment for invasive bladder carcinoma.
