Abstract
N-Pivaloyloxymethyl amides and sulfonamides, readily available from N-alkylation of both amides and sulfonamides with commercial chloromethyl pivaloate, were converted into acyclic azanucleosides via a one-pot base silylation/nucleoside coupling procedure.
