Abstract
In the population enrolled in this study, embolic complications were rare following only 0.7% of procedures. In addition, no relationship existed between procedures with thromboembolic complications and anticoagulation protocol, procedure time, number of RF lesions, or impedance shutdowns. Only 1 of 830 procedures had an associated late embolic complication in an otherwise risk-free patient.
