  • Abstract
    The coral metamorphosis-enhancing compound luminaolide was isolated from the crustose coralline algae (CCA) Hydrolithon reinboldii, and was shown to 34-membered macrodiolide skeleton. The relative configuration of luminaolide was established based on 1H–1H coupling constants, steric information from ROESY and a J-based configuration analysis using long-range 1H–13C coupling constants.
