Abstract
Isotopic pattern of TeS 4 + species as published by Singh and Pradeep does not correspond to the declared TeS 4 + but to the Te 2 + cluster. Furthermore, most of the other species declared as having been formed in the gas-phase have already been published, except for the Te 4 S 4 + species, which might rather be a Te 5 + cluster. Isotopic patterns nature in mass spectra of TenSm clusters is explained and the importance of isotopic pattern simulation for the identification of clusters stoichiometries is stressed. Mass spectra resolution achieved by Singh and Pradeep does not allow for unambiguous identification. An alternative interpretation is proposed.
