Fast construction - reality or myth: Case study of two flyovers

tul Bhobe The construction programme of 55 flyovers in and around the city of Mumbai by the government of Maharashtra through the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is unique in terms of technical and commercial innovations. The flyovers are being constructed at a speed hitherto unknown in Indian construction. With a view to illustrate this, the work of construction of flyovers at Goregaon-Mulund link road (GMLR) junction and Dattapada junction on the Western Express highway in Mumbai are discussed in this paper.
